The sociological concept of Verstehen was originally leveraged by Max Weber to understand social action from the actor’s point of view. Underpinning our coaching philosophy is an empathetic understanding of the forces that influence career direction, shape leadership style, and contribute to “Self” awareness and maturational growth.
Verstehen Executive Coaching recognizes that clients bring goals, personal values, core strengths, developmental needs, past trauma, insecurities, and spiritual aspects to the coaching process. A holistic accounting of these data points helps clients assign meaning to past experience, clarify goals, and propel themselves forward.
